FAQs
What is Sarasvata Gaudiya Vaishnava Association?
Sarasvata Gaudiya Vaishnava Association (SGVA) is an association of all the Gaudiya Vaishnavas who accept His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada as their spiritual guide and follow his instructions. It is an initiative of Bhaktivedanta Swami Charity Trust and strives to bring together Sarasvata Gaudiya Vaishnavas, regardless of their institutional affiliations, for the pleasure of Srila Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada.
Who are the members of SGVA?
SGVA is meant for the entire Sarasvata Gaudiya family. Major prominent members of Sarasvata Gaudiya family are members of the SGVA and others continue to join. For instance, ISKCON, having its roots in Gaudiya Math, is a part of the SGVA. Similarly there are other Gaudiya Maths which are also part of it. We invite all Gaudiya Maths, temples and branches to come together and be part of the SGVA. Primarily we are operating from Sridham Mayapur and looking for members and volunteers in all parts of the world who aspire to serve Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada by bringing together all his followers and serve in unity.
Who operates and controls SGVA?
SGVA is not controlled by any particular organization outside of it. SGVA has its own administrative body consisting of different Gaudiya Math members. We do not intend to interfere in other Gaudiya organizations’ administrative and other internal matters.
I am inspired to join SGVA. How to do it?
Primarily the SGVA is an association of associations, that is, its members are not individuals but groups or organizations of Gaudiya devotees. However, we welcome one and all to join us as volunteers and serve in various capacities. To join SGVA, please write to sgvaofficial@gmail.com
